Mission Director RUSA reviews Developmental Progress under Vibrant Villages Programme-II in Trehgam.
KUPWARA, OCTOBER 29(PTK): Mission Director RUSA J&K, Firdous Ahmad Giri, today visited Trehgam village in Kupwara district to review developmental progress and assess the implementation of interventions under the Vibrant Villages Programme-II (VVP-II).
During the visit, the Mission Director chaired a review meeting with district and sectoral officers at Government Middle School, Trehgam, to take stock of ongoing developmental activities and review the status of various interventions under the programme. He stressed the need for effective inter-departmental coordination and timely execution of projects to ensure tangible improvements in the quality of life of the local population.
Emphasizing a focused and coordinated approach, the Mission Director underscored the importance of addressing local developmental priorities, strengthening public service delivery and ensuring that the objectives of VVP-II translate into tangible benefits for the people.
Later, the Mission Director interacted with local residents and sought their feedback on developmental issues and public service requirements. The residents highlighted their concerns and shared suggestions for further improving infrastructure and service delivery in the area.
He emphasized the importance of community participation in identifying local needs and prioritizing developmental interventions to ensure inclusive and sustainable development.
The visit aimed at assessing ground-level progress, identifying areas requiring focused attention and strengthening the implementation of VVP-II for the holistic development of Trehgam village.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), District Information Officer (DIO), Assistant Director Food, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Chief Education Officer (CEO), Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO), Tehsildar, Block Development Officer (BDO), Block Medical Officer (BMO), Lead District Manager (LDM) and other concerned officers.(PTK)
