DC Shopian chairs introductory meeting with District Officers.

SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 08(PTK): Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Charandeep Singh, convened an introductory review meeting today with district officers and field staff to assess administrative functioning, the status of ongoing development projects and public delivery systems across the district.  

Speaking on the occasion, the DC outlined his core priorities for Shopian, emphasizing proactive governance, complete transparency, patient hearing of public grievances and time-bound delivery of public services. He directed key departments, including RDD, Agriculture and others to coordinate seamlessly, resolve inter-departmental bottlenecks and eliminate procedural delays to accelerate key development projects and welfare schemes. 

To ensure structured oversight, department-wise reviews will be prepared to identify critical needs and track performance metrics directly.

The meeting was attended by SSP, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Choudhary, ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone, ADC, Dr.
