Traders Meeting Held Under 100-Day Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign in Kulgam

Kulgam, May 22 (PTK): A traders’ meeting was organised on Thursday in Kulgam under the ongoing 100-day campaign of the nationwide Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and seek cooperation from the business community in building a drug-free society.

The meeting was organised by the District Administration Kulgam and chaired by Viqar Ahmed Giri. Members of the Traders Federation, market representatives and other stakeholders participated in the programme.

Addressing the gathering, Viqar Ahmed Giri highlighted the growing threat of substance abuse, particularly among the youth, and stressed the collective responsibility of society in combating the menace.

He urged traders and shopkeepers to play a proactive role in spreading awareness and discouraging activities that may contribute to drug abuse.

The ADC emphasized that the success of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan depends on active public participation and coordinated efforts from all stakeholders. He called upon the trading community to extend full cooperation to the administration in promoting awareness and fostering a healthy and drug-free environment across the district.

During the meeting, participants also shared their views and assured full support to the District Administration in strengthening the anti-drug campaign at the grassroots level.

The programme concluded with a collective pledge to work together towards achieving a drug-free society.(PTK)
