Multiple Infrastructure, Development Projects Underway in Kishtwar Under Hydro Power Rehabilitation Plans
Kishtwar, May 15 (PTK): Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma on Thursday reviewed the progress of developmental works being executed under the Local Area Development Programme (LADP), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and Rehabilitation & Resettlement (R&R) Plans linked to the Pakal Dul, Kiru, Kwar and Ratle Hydro Power Projects in the district.
The review meeting was held at the New DC Office Complex Kishtwar and focused on assessing the physical and financial progress of various infrastructure and public welfare projects being undertaken across the district.
Among the key projects reviewed were the creation of a 63 MVA, 33/11 KV Receiving Station along with a 33 KV line at Hasti Kishtwar, construction of a Veterinary Complex with residential accommodation at Kukerwas Drabshalla, development of high-density orchards, additional water lifting schemes, renovation of schools including GMS Nagseni and MS Chingnana, and upgradation of power infrastructure in tribal areas.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of timely implementation and directed all departments and executing agencies to expedite the completion of projects for the benefit of the public.
Officers from departments including Rural Development, Education, Health, Agriculture, Youth Services & Sports, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Municipal Committee, PWD, Jal Shakti, REW, Fire & Emergency Services and JPDCL presented updates regarding the status of works assigned to their respective departments.
Pankaj Kumar Sharma directed executing agencies to immediately bring any requirement of funds for priority works to the notice of his office for timely intervention and resolution.
He also instructed concerned agencies to submit Technical Sanctions within stipulated timelines and emphasized fixing accountability in cases of delay.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need to accelerate pending works while ensuring quality standards and transparency in implementation.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Kishtwar Vinod Kumar Behnal, ACD Kishtwar Manoj Kumar, CEO Municipal Council Kishtwar Mirza Mumtaz Iqbal and officers from various line departments.(PTK)
