Over 700 Patients Benefit as Health Department Organises Multi-Specialty Camp in Remote Dhara Village

Doda, May 13 (PTK): The Health Department Doda in collaboration with a local NGO on Tuesday organised a Multi-Specialty Health Camp at remote Village Dhara to provide accessible healthcare services to the local population.

The camp was inaugurated by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tanveer Ahmed Rather in the presence of Block Medical Officer Ghat Dr Abdul Gafoor and representatives of the NGO.

During the camp, residents were provided consultations by general physicians, gynecologists, orthopaedic surgeons, dermatologists, eye specialists and child specialists.

The Health Department also arranged on-the-spot ultrasound facilities through the MMU vehicle besides conducting NCD screening and distributing free medicines among patients. Sanitary pads were also distributed among local women during the programme.

Officials said the camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with more than 700 patients availing free health check-ups and medical consultations from the team of doctors and healthcare professionals.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Tanveer Ahmed Rather appreciated the efforts of the NGO and healthcare staff for reaching people living in far-flung and remote areas. He said such initiatives play a vital role in ensuring affordable and accessible healthcare services at the doorstep of the needy population.(PTK)
