Javid Dar Holds Public Grievance Hearing, Assures Time-Bound Resolution of Issues

Srinagar, May 13 (PTK): Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Department Javid Ahmad Dar on Tuesday conducted an extensive public grievance hearing at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar and interacted with several delegations and individuals regarding developmental and public welfare issues.

During the interaction, a delegation from Tuzer Sharief, Zainapora, raised demands related to macadamization of roads and installation of drinking water pipelines to improve public infrastructure in the area.

Another delegation comprising carpenters from across Kashmir division urged the Minister to extend welfare scheme benefits to them on the lines of construction workers registered with the Labour Commissioner J&K, seeking greater social security and institutional support.

Several individuals also projected issues concerning execution of civil works, construction of sheds and bund walls, besides seeking release of pending payments under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin and other development schemes.

Taking immediate cognizance of the grievances, Javid Ahmad Dar issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned officers for prompt resolution of genuine issues.

The Minister reiterated that redressal of public grievances remains a top priority of the government and assured the delegations that all legitimate demands would be addressed through coordinated and time-bound action.(PTK)
