DC Budgam Inspects Progress of Bridge Project on Nallah Sukhnag
Budgam, May 12 (PTK): Deputy Commissioner Athar Aamir Khan on Monday inspected the progress of the main bridge being constructed over Nallah Sukhnag in Beerwah subdivision of Budgam and stressed timely completion of the project to improve public connectivity.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the ongoing construction works and was informed by the executing agency that nearly 45 percent physical progress had been achieved so far.
Engineers and officials briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the present status of the project, technical aspects and the timeline fixed for completion of the bridge.
Athar Aamir Khan directed the concerned officers and executing agencies to expedite the pace of work and ensure timely completion so that people of Beerwah and adjoining areas can benefit from improved connectivity and safer transportation facilities at the earliest.
The Deputy Commissioner said the bridge project, approved under NABARD-XXX, is an important infrastructure initiative aimed at strengthening the major connectivity corridor between Beerwah and Budgam.
He stated that the bridge would significantly improve transportation and enhance socio-economic activities in the region by facilitating easier access to educational institutions, healthcare facilities, markets and other essential public services.
“The District Administration is committed towards accelerating developmental works and strengthening public infrastructure across the district,” the Deputy Commissioner said.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Beerwah Toufeeq Gazi, Executive Engineers and other concerned officials accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the inspection visit.(PTK)
