Doda Receives Two Ambulances Under CSR Initiative
Doda, May 09 (PTK): Deputy Commissioner Doda, Krishan Lal, on Friday flagged off two ambulance vans provided jointly by the Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited and Steel Authority of India Limited under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The ambulances have been allotted for public service in Doda and Bhalla areas to strengthen emergency healthcare response in the region.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by the Chief Medical Officer, health department officials, representatives from social and political organisations and members of civil society.
Officials said the initiative aims to improve emergency medical services and ensure timely transportation of patients, particularly from remote and hilly areas of the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the contribution of JKPDCL and SAIL towards strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the district. He stated that the addition of the ambulances would significantly benefit the public by improving access to emergency medical care and reducing delays in shifting critically ill patients to healthcare institutions.(PTK)
