Forest Department Pays Tribute to Naveen Shah at Condolence Meeting

Srinagar, May 09 (PTK): A condolence meeting was held at the headquarters of the Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department in Srinagar on Friday to pay homage to senior forest officer Naveen Shah, who passed away earlier in the day.

The meeting was attended by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF), senior officers, field staff and members of the forest fraternity. A two-minute silence was observed to pray for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family.

Addressing the gathering, the PCCF highlighted the distinguished service and contributions of Naveen Shah, who served the department in various capacities including Divisional Forest Officer and Conservator of Forests. He described him as a dedicated, upright and compassionate officer who rendered exemplary service to the department over the past two decades.

Several officers also shared their memories, recalling Naveen Shah as a mentor to younger colleagues and a respected officer known for his administrative skills and gentle nature.

The proceedings concluded with the department expressing heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and noting that his demise is a significant loss to the Forest Department.(PTK)
