Police Martyrs Volleyball Tournament concludes in Ganderbal
March 14(PTK): The Police Martyrs Volleyball Tournament, organized by Ganderbal Police under the Civic Action Program, concluded with a Grand Finale at Chattergul, Kangan. The tournament witnessed active participation from local youth and sports enthusiasts, reflecting the spirit of sportsmanship and community engagement.
The final match was attended by SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by SDPO Kangan, along with other police officers of the district, local elders, and a large gathering of spectators.
The tournament, held in memory of the brave Police Martyrs, witnessed the participation of 16 teams from different areas of Sub-Division Kangan. The teams displayed remarkable talent, discipline, and competitive spirit throughout the tournament, making the event a huge success.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS appreciated the enthusiasm and participation of the youth and highlighted the importance of sports in promoting a healthy lifestyle, discipline, and unity among young people. He reiterated that such events aim to strengthen the bond between the police and the public while providing constructive platforms for youth engagement.
In the thrilling final match, Mukdampora Strikers Chattergul and Elite Volleyball Club Cherwan delivered an impressive performance, keeping the audience captivated till the last point.
At the conclusion of the tournament, the winner team (Mukdampora Strikers Chattergul) and runner-up team (Elite Volleyball Club Cherwan) were felicitated with Cash Prizes, Trophies and Appreciation Certificates by the SSP Ganderbal and other dignitaries in recognition of their outstanding performance.
