J&K Police Organizes Volleyball & Tug of War tournaments in Budgam

February 28(PTK): In a spirited initiative to promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among youth, J&K Police organized Volleyball (for girls) and Tug of War (for boys) tournaments under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2025–26 at Degree College Khansahib.

The events witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various schools across Sub-Division Khansahib, creating an atmosphere of excitement and healthy competition. The programme was attended by SDPO Khansahib Shri Saqib Ghani (JKPS) and SHO Khansahib, who appreciated the participants for their dedication and sportsmanship. They highlighted the importance of sports in nurturing discipline, teamwork, leadership qualities, and a healthy lifestyle among youth.

The tournaments concluded with thrilling finals, and the winning as well as runner-up teams were felicitated with cash prizes and trophies in recognition of their outstanding performances.

The initiative was widely appreciated by local residents, who lauded J&K Police for encouraging youth, especially young girls, to participate in sports and constructive activities.  The programme reflects J&K Police’s continued commitment to youth engagement and strengthening police–community relations across the district.(PTK)
