JDU Party President G.M. Shaheen Leads Statewide Protest Against Killing of Innocent Tourists in Pahalgam

Srinagar, April 23(PTK): Janata Dal United (JDU) Jammu and Kashmir President G.M. Shaheen today led a silent protest in Srinagar, joined by the party’s executive team, political advisers, general secretaries, and the District President of Srinagar, in strong condemnation of the killing of innocent tourists in Pahalgam.

While addressing the media during the protest, Shaheen stated:

“We are holding statewide protests across Jammu and Kashmir, including in Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Budgam, Baramulla, Bandipora, and parts of Jammu region. Our message is clear – we stand united against terrorism.”

He emphasized that the time has come for the entire country, across political lines, to take a firm stand against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.

“For the first time, Jammu and Kashmir is observing a complete shutdown in protest. I congratulate the people of Kashmir for coming together, cutting across political affiliations, to denounce terrorism and militancy,” Shaheen said.

He further extended his deepest sympathies to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic incident at Pahalgam.

Shaheen said all tourists who wish to visit Kashmir are welcome. The people of Kashmir, over one crore stron population , stand with them .shaheen said they are safe here, and we stand united in ensuring peace and security for our guests,” he assured. (PTK)
