Forest Department Hosts Workshop for Forest Services Aspirants in North Kashmir
SRINAGAR, APRIL 11(PTK): As part of its ongoing efforts to build capacity among aspirants of Forest Services, the Forest Department today organised a one-day workshop titled ‘Strategies and Approaches for Qualifying Indian Forest Examination’ at the North Forest Headquarters, Mazbugh Sopore.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from aspirants across the districts of Baramulla, Kupwara, Ganderbal, and Budgam, reflecting growing interest among youth in environmental governance and forest services.
Conservator of Forests (CoF), Kashmir North Circle, Irfan Ali Shah, while addressing the gathering, highlighted the untapped potential of local youth and the importance of increasing awareness about careers in the Indian Forest Service. He urged participants to pursue green sector opportunities with dedication and a sense of responsibility.
Shah emphasized the vital role young professionals can play in ensuring sustainable development and effective forest management in the region.
Members of civil society and local residents lauded the initiative and expressed hope that similar workshops would be held in the future to further support and guide aspiring candidates. (PTK)
