Massive Fire Guts Darul Uloom Shahi Hamdan in Tral; 12-Year-Old Student Loses Life, Several Injured
Srinagar April 6 (PTK): A massive fire broke out at Darul Uloom Shahi Hamdan in Tral, completely gutting the religious seminary and resulting in the tragic loss of a young student’s life. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community.
According to initial reports, the devastating blaze caused complete damage to the Darul Uloom building, reducing it to ashes. Tragically, 12-year-old Yasir Ahmad, a resident of Karmulla Tral and a student at the Darul Uloom, lost his life in the fire.
Chairman of the Citizens Council Tral, Mr. Farooq Trali, expressed deep sorrow over the incident. “Our full sympathies are with the Darul Uloom Shahi Hamdan Tral and the bereaved family of young Yasir Ahmad. His untimely death is a heartbreaking loss for the entire community,” Trali said.
In addition to the fatality, four other students sustained injuries and were promptly shifted to Srinagar for advanced medical treatment. Their condition is being closely monitored by doctors.
The Citizens Council Tral has prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured students and extended heartfelt condolences to the family of Yasir Ahmad. “We pray to Almighty Allah to grant strength to the family to bear this irreparable loss and for eternal peace to the departed soul,” Trali added.
Local authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. Meanwhile, appeals have been made to the administration for immediate relief and support for the Darul Uloom and the affected families.(PTK)
