Four Killed, 17 Injured in Tragic Road Accident Near Gund Kangan, Ganderbal
Ganderbal, March 23 (PTK) A tragic road accident occurred near Gund Kangan in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir. A Toyota Etios, carrying tourists, collided with a bus on the Srinagar-Sonamarg road. The collision resulted in the deaths of four individuals—three tourists and one local resident. Additionally, 17 others sustained injuries.
Emergency responders promptly arrived at the scene, and the injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Three of the injured were later referred to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura for advanced care. Authorities have reported that all injured individuals are currently in stable condition.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wished for the swift recovery of the injured. He assured that authorities are providing all possible assistance to those affected by the incident.
The local police have taken cognizance of the incident, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the collision.(PTK)
