The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of six Senior Advocates as Additional Solicitor Generals (ASG) for the Supreme Court of India. This decision strengthens the legal representation in the Apex Court.
The newly appointed ASGs are Senior Advocates S. Dwarakanath, Archana Pathak Dave, Satya Darshi Sanjay, Brijender Chahar, Raghavendra P. Shankar, and Rajkumar Bhaskar Thakare, also known as Raja Thakare. Their expertise and distinguished careers are expected to enhance the judicial process and ensure robust legal advocacy on behalf of the government.
These appointments are seen as crucial for ensuring smooth handling of key legal matters before the highest court.
