Poonch, Monday: The Indian Army opened fire on Monday evening after detecting suspicious movement in the forested area of Poonch district near the Line of Control (LoC).
According to officials, the Army spotted movement near the security fence and immediately responded by firing several rounds towards the suspected location. As of now, there have been no reports of casualties or injuries.
Security forces remain on high alert in the area, and further updates are expected as more information becomes available.
The region has seen sporadic incidents of infiltration attempts in the past, making security measures in the border areas particularly stringent.
