New Delhi, September 1 : Oil marketing companies have raised the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 39, effective Sunday. This brings the retail price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi to Rs 1,691.50.
This increase follows a series of price adjustments in recent months. On July 1, a reduction of Rs 30 per cylinder was announced, lowering the price to Rs 1,646. Prior to that, on June 1, prices were slashed by Rs 69.50, bringing the cost down to Rs 1,676. On May 1, there was a minor reduction of Rs 19 per cylinder.
The frequent changes in LPG cylinder prices reflect the volatile nature of the market, influenced by international oil prices, taxation policies, and supply-demand dynamics. While the exact reasons for the recent hike have not been disclosed, it underscores the oil marketing companies’ responsiveness to broader economic conditions.
