Former MLA Mankotia expelled from AAP
The Aam Admi Party on Saturday expelled former MLA Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia on charges of hobnobbing with other political parties and defaming the party.
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR SEP 23:- As we all know, right from the beginning that Aam Aadmi Party being disciplinary have rules and regulations which are mandatory to be followed in every step of representing the Party. It is very much important for AAP to keep a close eye on any disruptive political expression & if anybody or member of the Party found guilty, in such a case disciplinary action will be taken against him/her without any undue delay. Any member/ Volunteer of Aam Aadmi Party who break the law, violates any policy or rule of the Party or harm the reputation of the Party will have to face the consequences including termination, reads the termination letter.
The Legal Cell of Aam Aadmi Party is available to conduct the investigation at any point of moment, may collect the copies of publicly available social media posts or interviews & it may focus on any other such activity which ultimately defame the Party or causing harm to the reputation of the Party, it said.

Aam Aadmi Party nevertheless is more vigilant about those who are distracting comembers/ co volunteers from getting their work done or who cause other volunteers to feel uncomfortable or involved in any other anti-party activity. All volunteers/ members are expected to treat each other with respect, any discriminatory language or conduct will not be tolerated, it added further
It has come to our knowledge that you are involved in anti-party activities, mainly engaging with other National and Regional political parties in J and K, not engaging or participating in any of the AAP political activities and not performing any task given by party in last 3 months and Influencing AAP volunteers to join other parties and offering them positions in other parties D. Defaming party in the media platforms by making fake statements under the influence of another political party and confusing the AAP volunteers, it added further.
“Party has taken a serious note on these issue & after the investigation you have been found guilty and therefore your basic membership of AAM AADMI PARTY stands TERMINATED with effect from 23 September.” It added.
