DC Ramban reviews implementation of spurring entrepreneurship initiative at DLIC meeting

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 22: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam today reviewed the progress on implementation of the Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative under Mission Youth here at the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) meeting.

 Among others, the meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Gias Ul-Haq; AD Employment,  Shushant Mahajan; DSWO, Rahul Gupta; LDM,  Abdul Rashid Sofi, officers from DIC, JKEDI, and other departments.

At the outset, the Assistant Director Employment gave a brief on the scope of the scheme. It was informed that the objective of the scheme is to encourage innovation and job creation through creation of new businesses units. He informed the meeting that 89 applications have been received till date for setting up the  innovative businesses in the district.

The Chairman, DLIC directed the Assistant Director Employment to check the line of activity and   feasibility of the units by checking the detailed concept notes submitted by the applicants. He also directed the youth to avail the benefit of the scheme besides focusing on Agro and horticulture-based activities.

The DC asked the members to extend handholding/guidance to the applicants in the establishment of the innovative and employment-generating unit.
