CGM NABARD flags-off Mobile Demo Vans for Anantnag Cooperative Bank
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR BARAMULLA, SEPTEMBER 21: Chief General Manager NABARD J&K, Dr AK Sood today flagged-off two Mobile ATM Vans provided by NABARD to Anantnag Central Cooperative Bank Ltd (ACCB) under grant based Financial Inclusion Fund (FIF) of NABARD at head office of ACCB, here.
The flag-off was done in the presence of Managing Director cum CEO of ACCB Muzaffar Sultan, Deputy General Manager NABARD Surinder Singh and District Development Manager NABARD Rouf Zargar and other senior officials.
Later, a financial literacy camp was held at Seer Hamdan Village which was attended by a large number of people.

On the occasion, Dr Sood stated that NABARD has been supporting the rural financial institutions such as Cooperative Banks and Regional Rural Banks to enhance digital financial literacy and offering door step banking services to the rural people in remote locations.
He said that the Government of India has been placing a special focus on the spread of digital financial literacy and NABARD has been tasked to promote this mission through Rural Financial Institutions by supporting them with financial literacy camps and mobile vans for reaching out to far off areas.
It is worth mentioning that NABARD has sanctioned a grant of Rs Rs.30 lakh to Anantnag Central Cooperative Bank for deployment of two digital literacy vans to serve the rural people in districts under operation.
