PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR SEP 19: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs completely from the society, Sopore Police arrested a lady drug peddler/supplier and recovered contraband substance and cash from her possession.
On the directions of SSP Sopore Shri. Shabir Nawab-JKPS, under the supervision of SDPO Zaingeer Shri. Syed Gazanfar a police party from Police Station Bomai headed by SHO PS Bomai Insp. Bilal Khanday established a naka and apprehended one lady drug peddler/supplier namely Fatima Begum W/O Javaid Ahmad Lone R/O Tujjar Sopore, team was able to recover 40 grams of Brown sugar and cash ₹23000 from her possession. Accused has been arrested and shifted to women cell Bomai where she remains in custody.

Regarding the incident case with FIR No. 46/2022 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Bomai and further investigation is in progress.
Community members are again and again requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
