100 KG Banned polythene seized in Doda
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR DODA, SEPTEMBER 01: A joint team of Municipal Council Doda and Pollution Control Committee on Thursday seized banned plastic material during an intensive market checking.
The checking was conducted in continuation of the anti-polythene drive launched in the district by Executive Officer, Municipal Council Doda, and District Officer PCC.

A joint team of Pollution Control Board and Municipal Council conducted the market checking in Doda town and seized 100 kg of banned polythene below 75 microns. A compound fine of Rs 6400/ was also recovered from the violators.
The team also advised the general public to desist from accepting the goods from shopkeepers, hawkers or vegetable and fruit vendors etc. packed in banned polythene carry bags having thickness less than 75 microns failing which they shall also be fined.
