Militant killed in ongoing Sopore encounter

Press Trust Of Kashmir Srinagar Aug 31: A militant been killed in an ongoing encounter in Bomai Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday

Official said that a militant has been killed in an encounter, however identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained.

Earlier reports said that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Bombai

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.

“SoporeEncounterUpdate: 01 militant killed. #Operation in progress. Further details shall follow.” Kashmir Police zone tweeted.
