DIET Rajouri organises District Level Online competition of Bhasha Sangam
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR RAJOURI, AUGUST 31: DIET Rajouri on Wednesday organized District Level Competition of Bhasha Sangam under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Initiative by GoI. The competition focused on the assessment of knowledge regarding Tamil culture and history, Singing, Dancing skills and the ability to speak Roman Tamil Sentences in the form of an Interactive Online Quiz programme. The main objective of the programme is to promote cultural exchange among various states & UTs and encourage the learning of different Indian languages by students across the country. The different themes of the Tamil Nadu state viz Cuisine, Wildlife, Flora-Fauna, Medicinal Plants, Music & Dance, Movies & Films, Handicrafts & Textiles, Theaters & Sports, Literature and Festivals, Painting and Sculpture etc are selected for preparation of District Level quiz competition.
The Online Quiz Competition was coordinated by Geeta Bharti DNO Bhasha Sangam, District Rajouri with the technical support of Mohd Ayaz Raina, National ICT Awardee Teacher and Tabasum Mirza, Lect. The competition was judged by Anwar-ul-Sadaat Sr.Lect, Anamika Sr. Lect and Parvez Akhter, Lect.

The programme was inaugurated by Mtr. Hamida Begum Principal DIET Rajouri wherein she emphasized the importance of such competitions for promoting awareness in children regarding Indian culture and languages. Students from 11 zones of the district participated in the interactive Online Quiz and Competition on Tamil culture and speaking Tamil sentences. It is pertinent to mention that the Zonal Level Competitions across 15 Educational Zones were conducted in the District last week with the help of Zonal Cultural Coordinators where more than 600 students from MS, HS and Higher Secondary Schools participated and out of which 38 students selected for participation in the district level competition. The winners of the District Level Quiz Competition included students Sharzia Bakshi class 8th, Sonali Devi class 10th from GHS Barnara, Abhay Lakhann Pal from GHSS Devak (Zone Lower Hathal and Sonam Choudhary class 11th student from GHSS Bhawani, Zone Nowshera (in Speaking Tamil Sentences). The winners for the other two categories i.e singing and dancing will be announced on 04-09-2022 after the evaluation and screening of videos sent by participating teams across the district.
