IG Registrations, DC Kupwara review progress of Registrations in Kupwara

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR KUPWARA, AUGUST 30: The Inspector General (IG) of Registrations, Arshid Ayoub along with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray today reviewed the progress of registrations in district Kupwara.

Additional Inspector General of Registrations Kashmir, ADC Kupwara and Sub Registrars were present at the occasion.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat who is also Registrar apprised the Inspector General about the progress that has been achieved in the district. He informed that 698 registrations have been done during the current year which has generated revenue of Rs.2.52 crore in the district.

The ADC informed that the creation of the Registration Department is a landmark step by the LG Administration and the introduction of NGDRS has made registration people friendly and has greatly reduced the time of registrations.

On the occasion, the Inspector General impressed upon the Sub Registrars and Registrars that the date of appointment and the date of registration should be minimized and also that CCTV cameras shall be installed in the offices of sub-registrars.
