DC Kupwara reviews progress for establishment of DDRC

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR KUPWARA, AUGUST 27: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray, who is Chairman for District Management Team (DMT) today, convened a meeting of the concerned officers to discuss various issues related to District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) in the district.

The meeting held threadbare discussion regarding various issues including selection of registered implementing agencies, selection/deployment of manpower and finalizing their engagement conditions, monitoring coordination of activities of the District Disability Rehabilitation Centre. Besides, convergence with other activities in the district relating to rehabilitation of Divyangjan was also discussed.

It was given out in the meeting that the District Management Team shall meet on 15th of each month to review the progress of DDRC in the district.

On the occasion, the DC stressed upon the officers to make concerted efforts for proper functioning of the Disability Rehabilitation Centre in the district. He directed them to work in convergence mode while taking other stakeholders including NGOs on board to yield better results on ground.

The DC directed the District Social Welfare Officer for identification of building premises for establishment of the DDRC in the district.
