Hideout busted inside a house in Shopian, arms and ammunition recovered:- Police

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SHOPIAN AUG 17:-Militants lobbed a grenade on search party in Kutpora area of Shopian following which a hideout established in a house was busted, Police said on Wednesday.

They said that on specific input security forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation in Kutpora area of Shopian and during search operation, militants lobbed a grenade on search party.

As militants lobbed grenade, search party also retaliated, however, militants managed to escape taking advantage of darkness, they added.

They further added that joint team of police and security forces busted a hideout inside a house there and recovered arms and ammunition from it.

“On specific input Security Forces launched a CASO in Kutpora, #Shopian. During search, #militants lobbed grenades on the search party. Search party also retaliated. However militants escaped due to darkness. Police & SFs busted a #hideout inside a house & recovered Arms/Amns.” Kashmir Police Zone tweeted.
