Policeman injured in Srinagar encounter succumbs

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR AUG 15:-Policeman, who was injured during a chance encounter in Nowhatta area of Srinagar yesterday, has succumbed to his injuries at a hospital, Police said on Monday.
They said that policeman identified as Sarfaraz Ahmad of Batote Ramban was injured during a chance encounter in Nowhatta area on Sunday evening.

He said that the injured cop was shifted to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Monday.
Police said that there was chance encounter on Sunday evening in Nowhatta Srinagar in which a policeman and militant was injured.
Militants managed to give slip to forces, however, scooter and ammunition including Ak 47 was recovered from the spot, they said.
