Education Department organises Tiranga bike rally near LOC in Poonch to mark Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR POONCH, AUGUST 13: As a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Department of School Education Poonch organised a Tiranga bike rally to Install Tiranga on every house on the Line of Control in Poonch district, here today.
DDC Chairperson Tazeem Akhter; Deputy Commissioner Inder Jeet; Bishamber Dass, CEO Poonch and N M Suri DEPO Poonch flagged off the Tiranga Rally from Dy SP Manjeet Singh Memorial Boys Higher secondary School Poonch.
Hundreds of Government Teachers from different zones of the district tying Tricolor flag on their motorbikes raised slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Har Ghar Tiranga” and joined the Rally.
The Rally, after passing through Poonch Bus stand, Purani Poonch, Betar Bridge, Navgreh Temple Road culminated at High School Degwar Maldyalan which is situated on extreme LOC.
The Rally covered over 5 extreme villages on LOC.

The CEO along with N M Suri, DEPO and school Principals and ZEOs hoisted tricolor on the Houses along the Line of Control.
Speaking on the Occasion, Tazeem Akhter appreciated the efforts of the Education Department for organising a series of events to promote the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign.
She congratulated all the Teachers for their un-tired efforts for making the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign a great Success.
The Deputy Commissioner Poonch also congratulated the Teaching community and the Students who contributed towards making the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign a great success. He also congratulated all the students and Teachers who participated in Division and National level National Anthem singing competition and brought laurel for Poonch district.
Bishamber Dass, CEO Poonch, in his address hailed the Teachers for their wholehearted support to the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign. He revealed that the Education Department involved over 90 thousand Students and Teachers in the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign and hoisted Tiranga on the houses of all its employees .
