Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Har Ghar Tiranga: SWD organises Independence Rally at Udhampur

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 13: To sensitise people about the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, Social Welfare Department Udhampur, under the aegis of District Administration Udhampur  and JK Rehabilitation Council, today organised a Tiranga rally.

 The staff of District Social Welfare Office Udhampur, Mission Vatsalya, Tehsil Social Welfare Office Udhampur, District Hub for empowerment of Women, One Stop Centre- Sakhi Udhampur, staff and inmates of Balashram and Nariniketan Udhampur participated in the rally with full zeal.

 At the outset, scooties were given away to the beneficiaries. Later a Scooty rally of specially abled persons, holding National Flags and placards with patriotic slogans, was flagged-off by District Social Welfare Officer, Kanika Gupta from the Bal Ashram.

 The participants also chanted slogans  to educate the general people about the campaign. The inmates of Balashram and Nariniketan Udhampur also took part in the rally with full fervour.

The inmates were wearing tricolor dresses and holding flags to promote the event. The participating students took out a Tiranga rally and marched through several areas.
