R&B team inspects developmental works in Banihal

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR RAMBAN, AUGUST 07: Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Division Ramban, Abhishek Gupta along with Assistant Executive Engineer Ved Singh and concerned Junior engineers conducted an extensive tour of  Banihal and inspected  ongoing construction  works taken up by the department under different developmental schemes.

Assistant Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) Sub Division Banihal briefed the Executive Engineer about the progress of all the projects besides discussing the issues which are hindering the pace of progress.

The Executive Engineer visited  different roads and buildings being constructed by the department including  Meran Tethar Bridge old NHW to New NHW Lamber Road, Lambar Gujjarnar Road and Chapnari – Gudder road under NABARD, macadamized roads under city and town programme, Community Hall Building at Banihal, Buildings of ITI and DIET, Banihal besides various school buildings at Tethar and Nowgam, Residential accommodation in Dhoks at Zaban under infrastructure for the welfare of tribals.

During the inspection of the developmental works being executed by the department, he directed the Engineering Staff to accelerate the pace of so that they are completed within given timelines and simultaneously maintain the quality of work. He impressed upon the officers to work with extra zeal and dedication to maximise the reach of the benefits to the people.

The Executive Engineer also met with the locals and listened to their issues and grievances pertaining to the PWD. He  resolved most of the Public issues on the spot and assured that rest of the genuine issues would be addressed in consultation with higher authorities.
