Dogapathi-Wangath Residents suffer in absence of road connectivity

Ganderbal, 21 Jan (PTK) : 2 kilometers from the kangan – wangath raod, people in the Dogapathi village in sub division kangan of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district are living a miserable life due to lack of proper road connectivity in the area .
Local residents of the area said to Press Trust of Kashmir (PTK) that in absence of the road connectivity, the inhabitants of village Dogapath wanagth, situated in the upper reaches of Kangan, are forced to walk 2 to 3 kms by foot to reach on kangan -wangath road .
Locals adds that there is no road to our village. We have to walk several kilometers to wangath main market for everything. People are forced to bring essentials on shoulders from the main wangath up to their homes.
Sajad Ahmad, a resident of dogapathi said that the ailing patients and expecting mothers are taken to wangath on stretchers.
He adds that the life of locals of this area totally hampers and remains paralyzed during snow and rainy season as the muddy road creates extreme problems and especially slippery roads.
Meanwhile the residents urged the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and district administration to look into their genuine grievances at an earliest.(PTK).
