Two Notorious Drug peddlers held in Gbl

 

Ganderbal, 16 Jan (PTK) : Ganderbal Police on sunday arrested two notorious drug peddlers and recovered 20 bottles of contraband codeine phosphate from their possession.

 

As per the statement issued to Press trust of Kashmir (PTK) a police spokesman said that a snap naka was established at Arampora Crossing by SHO Police Station Ganderbal Sub Inspector Gulzar Hussain under the Supervision of DySP Headquarters Ganderbal Shri Abdul Majid-JKPS, during checking two persons tried to runaway from the glance of said Police Party but tactfully Police party rushed towards them and captured both the persons on the spot.

 

Upon the search, 20 bottles of Codeine Phosphate were recovered from their possession.

 

The two accused persons were identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Hakak S/o Farooq Ahmad R/o Duderhama and Mir Umer @ Umer Gayas S/o Gayaz-ud-din Mir R/o Saloora. They said contraband substance was seized on the spot.

 

Meanwhile in this regard an FIR No.04/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Ganderbal and investigation has been taken up.

 

General public of Ganderbal is requested to come forward for any information regarding drug abuse/drug peddlers present in the society. So that they shall be curbed under the relevant sections of law.(PTK).
