One army man killed, 2 other soldiers & Cop injured in Anantnag gunfight

Srinagar, 30 Dec (PTK) :Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday said that two foreigners and four local militants of proscribed militant outfit JeM were among six militants killed in two separate encounters in southern areas of Anantnag and Kulgam district .

As per Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK), the Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said that six militants of proscribed militant outfit JeM killed in two separate encounters at Kulgam and Anantnag, adding that 2 among the killed militants have been identified as Pakistani & 4 are local militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad militant outfit and terms it a big success for security forces.

The encounters took place in Dooru shahabad Anantnag and mirhama Kulgam areas of the South Kashmir districts on Wednesday evening, while three JeM militants were killed in the Shahabad operation, three were killed in the mirhama Kulgam gunfight.

An official told that during the initial exchange of firing between militants and security forces three Army jawans & a J&K Police jawan got injured at dooru shahabad encounter. Later, the Army jawan succumbed to his injuries while the condition of rest in is said to be stable, he adds.(PTK)
