ASI injured in Bijbehara Militant attack, Succumbs
Anantnag, 22 Dec (PTK): An Assistant sub inspector of Jammu and Kashmir Police succumbed to his injuries after he was fired upon by suspected militants near SDH Bijbehara area in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Official sources told Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) that unknown persons suspected to be militants carried out the attack, leaving an ASI of Jammu and Kashmir police critically injured this evening.
He identified the injured ASI as Muhammad Ashraf of Awantipora and the cop was immediately rushed to SDH Bijbehara in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries, even as the area was immediately cordoned off to nab the attacker.(PTK).
