JeM Militant module Busted in Pampore : Police

4 militant associates held , Arms & Ammunition recovered

Srinagar, 21 Dec (PTK) : Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday claimed to have busted Jaish-e-Mohammad militant module and arrested four of its associates in the district.

In a statement issued to Press trust of Kashmir (PTK) the police spokesman said that they received a reliable input regarding activities of Jaish-e-Mohammad militants in Samboora and adjoining areas of Pampore, adding that , acting upon the specific information Awantipora Police, 50 RR Army and 110 BN CRPF conducted raids and during searches in suspected areas of Samboora area police arrested four militant associates of Jaish-e-Mohammad outfit.

Incriminating material including Arms & Ammunition viz-Pistol with ammunition, Hand Grenade etc were recovered from their possession.

An official told Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) on preliminary enquiry, the militant associates has disclosed that they were in touch with active militant commanders of JeM in the area and were providing logistic/ support to JeM militants for propagating their militant acts and were providing transportation to militants.

Meanwhile In this regard a case FIR No 161/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Pampore and further investigation has been taken up. (PTK).
