Kangan Police solve Golden burglary case, accused held

Srinagar, 02 Dec (PTK) : A burglary case was solved by Jammu and Kashmir Police in kangan Ganderbal by arresting the accused person involved in the commission of a crime and have also recovered stolen property worth lakhs of rupees from his possession.
According to a statement issued to press trust of Kashmir (PTK) that police post Kangan received a complaint on 29th November from a Shopkeeper namely Mohd Saif Khan S/o Irshad Ahmad Khan R/o Tawheedpora Kangan regarding burglary in his Gold shop during the intervening night of 28th and 29th November at Tawheedpora Kangan.
Accordingly, a case FIR No.140/2021 U/S 419,420 IPC was registered in PS Kangan and further investigation was set into motion.
In this regard, on the directions of SSP Ganderbal, Nikhil Borkar a special Police team headed by SHO PS Kangan Inspector Turk Zahoor under the supervision of SDPO kangan DySP Yasir Qadri-JKPS for arresting the accused person who flied away with stolen Gold and other items worth lakhs of rupees.
During the course of investigation, with the help of CCTV footage and other technical tools, it came into surface that the accused flied away from District Ganderbal to Handwara, evading his arrest. In this connection, a special team was dispatched to Handwara to nab the accused. Further, a tip off was received that the accused was moving towards Jammu to evade his arrest and with the help of Bijbehara Police, accused was finally intercepted at Sangam and was taken into the custody by Police party of PS Kangan. The burglar arrested was identified as Bilal Ahmad Lone S/o Mohd Akbar Lone R/o Maritgam Handwara.
During the course of investigation on the confession and identification of the accused, recoveries were made of worth lacs of rupees. Further investigation is in progress and more recoveries are expected, the statement reads. (PTK)
