Police arrests a bootlegger in Baramulla, illicit liquor recovered
November 22 (PTK): Acting tough against the social crimes, Police in Baramulla arrested a bootlegger and recovered 20 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession.
A police party of Police Station Baramulla under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla at a checkpoint established at NHW Khawajabagh intercepted a suspicious person who tried to escape from the spot however, the alert Police party tactfully apprehended him. He has been identified as Harjeet Singh son of Suraj Singh resident of Singhbagh Baramulla.
On checking, 20 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly a case under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station and investigation was initiated.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding anti social elements in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in anti social activities will be dealt as per law.: – PTK
