Amid rising water level, people should avoid taking bath in Nallah Sindh
Press Trust of Kashmir | Kangan : To avoid any untoward incident, Sub District Magistrate Kangan Hakeem Tanveer Ahmad on Friday asked people to remain extra vigilant and avoid taking bath in Nallah Sindh as water level has increased in the said rivulet.

“As reported by the Assistant Executive Engineer Flood Control Sub-Division Ganderbal vide No FCSD/G/371-77 Dated 0B/08/2021, that in view of increase of temperature, the rate of melting of snow in higher catchments of Nallah Sindh has increased resulting the heavy discharge in Nallah Sindh and its tributanes, reads the notice issued by SDM
“The Assistant Executive Engineer further reported that there are apprehensions that temporary crossing constructed over Nallah Sindh and its tributaries might got damaged at any time, which can result any untoward incident, it adds.

“Accordingly the above said officer has requested that the PRI’s may be directed to inform the general public residing along the embankments to remain extra vigilant for the safety of their life and property, it adds further

“In view of the above Tehsildar Kangan and Gund are hereby directed to direct field staff including Lumberdars and Chowkidars to inform the general public residing along the embankments of Nallah Sindh and visitors visiting to Sub-Division Kangan to remain extra vigilant and avoiding bath in Naliah Sindh for the safety of their life and property,” Public notice adds.(PTK)
