JK reports1718 new positive cases Also 24 COVID-19 deaths

Press trust of  kashmir  | JAMMU : The Government on Wednesday informed that1718 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19),585from Jammu division and 1133from Kashmir division, have been reported today,

thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 294078.Also 24 COVID-19 deaths have been reported,07 from Jammu Division and 17 from Kashmir Division.

Moreover, 3391 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 1327 from Jammu Division and 2064 from Kashmir Division.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 294078 positive cases, 31579 are Active Positive, 258536 have recovered and 3963have died; 1932in Jammu division and 2031 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 8651026test results available, 8356948 samples have been tested as negative till2nd June, 2021.

Till date 2109281 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 81451 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 31579 in isolation and 146745in home surveillance. Besides, 1845543 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that

 Srinagar has 65787 positive cases (including 320 cases reported today) with 3871 Active Positive, 61135recovered (including 502cases recovered today), 781 deaths;

Baramulla has 21590 positive cases (including 102 cases reported today)with 2381Active Positive, 18948recovered (including 232 cases recovered today), 261 deaths;

Budgam reported 20554positive cases (including137 cases reported today)with 1878 active positive cases, 18496 recovered (including 406cases recovered today), 180 deaths;

Pulwama has 13399 positive cases (including 158 cases reported today)with2166Active Positive, 11062recovered (including 218 cases recovered today)and 171 deaths; 

Kupwara has 12268 positive cases (including 90 cases reported today), 1775 Active Positive, 10346recoveries (including 126 cases recovered today), 147deaths;

Anantnag district has 14741 positive cases (including 103 cases reported today)with 3542 Active Positive, 11032recovered (including 137 cases recovered today), 167 deaths;

Bandipora has 8551 positive cases (including62 cases reported today), with804Active Positive and 7653 recoveries (including 106cases recovered today),94 deaths;

Ganderbal has 8858 positive cases (including 53cases reported today)with 1145Active Positive, 7644 recoveries (including 125 cases recovered today)and69deaths;

Kulgam has 10024 positive cases (including 81 cases reported today)with 1430 Active Positive, 8488recoveries (including163 cases recovered today)and 106 deaths while as

Shopian has 5361 positive cases (including 27 cases reported today),1107active positive cases, 4199 recoveries (including 49 cases recovered today)and55 deaths.

Similarly,

Jammu has 51062 positive cases (including 169 cases reported today) with 5011 active positive cases, 44973recoveries (including 485 cases recovered today), 1078 deaths;

Udhampur has 10696 positive cases (including 57cases reported today), 553active positive cases, 10017 recoveries (including107 cases recovered today)and126deaths;

Rajouri has 9817 positive cases (including 75 cases reported today)with 1033active positive, 8596recoveries (including 207 cases recovered today)and 188deaths;

Doda has 5836 positive cases (including 52cases reported today)with1087Active positive, 4659recovered (including 77 cases recovered today)and 90deaths;

Kathua has 8830 positive cases (including 25 cases reported today), 379 active positive cases, 8316recovered(including 123cases recovered today) and 135deaths;

Kishtwar has 4046 positive cases (including 33 cases reported today)with 229 Active Positive, 3783 recoveries (including 74 cases recovered today)and34 deaths;

Samba has 6817 positive cases (including 41 cases reported today)with 1095 active positive cases, 5610 recoveries (including 66cases recovered today)and 112 deaths;

Poonch has 5329 positive cases (including 62 cases reported today)with929active positive, 4321recoveries (including 58 cases recovered today)and 79 deaths;

Ramban has 5176 positive cases (including 49 cases reported today)with736 active positive cases, 4387 recoveries (including 71 cases recovered today)and 53 deaths while

Reasi has 5336 positive (including 22 cases reported today)with 428 active positive cases, 4871 recoveries (including59 cases recovered today)and 37 deaths.

15 VACCINATION SITES ESTABLISHED FOR 18-44 YEARS OF AGE GROUPS

According to the bulletin, among the total 294078 positive cases in J&K, 21621have been reported as travelers while 272457as others.

The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.

The bulletin added that there are 3123 COVID dedicated beds, 2698 Isolation beds with 2136vacant beds and 425 ICU beds where 266 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 2853 COVID dedicated beds, 2699 Isolation beds where 1450 beds are vacant and 154 ICU beds where 84are vacant beds in Kashmir division.

There are a total of 5976 COVID dedicated beds, 5397 Isolation beds with 3586 beds vacant and 579 ICU beds with 350vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Central Government is continuously monitoring the evolving situation of Covid-19 in the Union Territory and is providing allnecessary support towards effective containment of the spread of Covid-19 and better clinical management of positive cases.(PTK).
