Srinagar Mar 04 (PTK) :The Central government has extended the term of delimitation commission by one year in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
The Union Ministry of Law & Justice in a notification had informed that the tenure of Justice (Retd.) Ranjana Desai, who is heading the panel, by one year.

Pertinently, the commission’s term was coming to end on March 5, 2022 and the states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Nagaland have been excluded from mandate of the Commission.
The commission will carry out exercise only in Union Territory of J&K. (PTK)
