Kangan Feb 20(PTK): Public Toilet Complex in Kangan is totally non functional from last one and a half year and peoples of Sub district Kangan complained that they suffer due to the unhygienic conditions and blockage of these toilets.
“This toilet Complex was opened for public in 2017 under Swachah Bharat Mission by RDD Block Development office Kangan under the cost of 2.40 Lacs, but after that block office did not look this: Source.
Source told the Press Trust of Kashmir that it’s so unhygienic that the most of peoples don’t dare to use them. See the condition of these toilets due to bad smell person run back from the main gate he added while pointing towards the sanitary block.
President of Trades Union Kangan Firdous Ahmad Dar, told the Press Trust of Kashmir“From the last 1 year trades body tried to solve this problem and contacted with Block Office several times, but they don’t give any positive response for the repairing of these toilets”
At last Firdous requested SDM Kangan and DC Ganderbal to take the cognisance of the matter and take immediate steps for making the Community Sanitary Complex functional to ease the problems of common people._ (PTK)
