Weather likely to remain dry in J&K till 17 Jan

Srinagar Jan. 10 (PTK) In Jammu and Kashmir ashmir, the weather is likely to remain dry till 17 Jan with night temperatures plummeting below freezing point in Srinagar and elsewhere in Kashmir.

The foggy conditions have disrupted air traffic and is disrupting smooth surface transport within Srinagar city and elsewhere in Kashmir region.

The upper reaches in Kashmir region have received abundant snow during the maiden snowfall in the first week of January this year.

Meteorological Department officials said the night temperatures in parts of Kashmir valley remained below the freezing point whileas Leh in Ladakh UT was the coldest place where minimum temperature was recorded at minus 16 degrees. (PTK)
