Covid-19:- Tight restrictions continue in Kashmir amid lockdown for 26th straight day.
SRINAGAR APRIL (PTK)The lockdown remained in force for the 26th straight day in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory in wake of the deadly Coronavirus outbreak, which so far claimed five lives in the Union Territory and infected over 340 people.
Witnesses said that police and paramilitary troopers were deployed on the roads and all important points to enforce the lockdown across the Union Territory to stop the deadly Coronavirus from spreading.
All the educational institutions including Schools, Colleges, Universities and coaching centres continued to remain closed while as the markets also wore deserted look throughout the day.
The traffic—both private as well as pubic continued to remain shut while as only essential sectors were seen open throughout the day.
Moreover, Jammu and Kashmir police continued to book the people who were found violating the government’s prohibitory orders issued under section 144 CrPC.
So far hundreds of persons have been booked under different sections for violating government orders(PTK)
