Srinagar, Mar 24 (PTK): The medical students are in a state of distress in Bangladesh and several other countries due to cancellation of international and domestic flights across the country. They have sought the intervention of Prime Minister, Home Minister and Civil Aviation Minister for their immediate airlifting and return to their homes.
“Students from Kashmir pursuing medical education in different medical colleges of Bangladesh are in a State of distress. They are desperate to reach their home to confront the panic that has engulfed the whole world,” said a parent from Kupwara.
He said that these are almost 600-700 students mostly female, who are stranded due to aerial lockdown. “These students have spent sleepless nights since the aerial routes were closed. Parents of these students here in Kashmir are worried about the welfare of their wards,” he said.
Another Both the parents and stranded students have appealed the J&K administration to take up the matter with concerned Indian authorities to make the arrangements to lift these students from Bangladesh and bring them back home as early as possible, like it was done in case of students of Iran.
Students and parents are hopeful for a positive and quick response. (PTK)
