Srinagar, Mar 21 (PTK): Senior Congress leader and former MLA Devsar Haji Mohammad Amin Bhat has greeted the people of the State, especially the Shia Muslim community on the eve of Nauroz being celebrated on March 21 every year all over the world.
Talking to Press Trust of Kashmir (PTK), Bhat said that Jammu and Kashmir is a symbol of composite culture where people of different religions are living together in peace and harmony, adding that this centuries old brotherhood and communal harmony needs to be strengthened.
He hoped that the day will usher the Union territory in a new era of progress and prosperity and people will stand united to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and amity, while celebrating the festival.
Congress leader said that the Nauroz is also being celebrated as world Arbor Day and stressed upon the people to plant more and more trees. (PTK)
