Absence of lecturers at Hr Sec Gund aggrieves students, allege locals

 

Lecturers teaching in super 50 programme, will resume duties soon: Dy CEO

Srinagar, Mar 11 (PTK): Locals of Gund Kangan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district are up in arms due to the alleged absence of three lecturers from Boys Higher Secondary School Gund, terming the absence highly concerning and akin to neglecting the already perturbed student community of the area.

 

Locals told Press Trust of Kashmir (PTK) since the higher secondary resumed its functioning after the winter break, the absence of three senior lecturers from the higher secondary is severely effecting the overall functioning of the institution.

 

They further allege that due to such a scenario the academics of the students enrolled in the higher secondary is getting ruthlessly hampered and that authorities must take appropriate action put lid over the prevailing crisis.

 

When contacted Deputy Chief Education Officer Ganderbal, Nazir Ahmad told Press Trust of Kashmir (PTK) that the three lecturers in question are not absent from duty but are actually discharging their duties in super 50 programme.

 

He added that these three teachers were selected by the Directorate of School Education for their expeties in their respective subjects and that the programme is in the conclusion mode at present.

 

“The three lecturers will resume their duties in the higher secondary soon,” Dy CEO said. (PTK)
