Says key projects gone into limbo, helmsmen caring least for peoples’ hardships
Srinagar: Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Saturday flayed the government over keeping several key developmental projects in limbo in Jammu and Kashmir with common masses bearing brunt of such a dilatory style of working.
In a statement, Kadfeen said that the previous regime in the state did nothing for the people except the sloganeering and that on ground, its tall promises of development are lying around dry and dead. He adde that far fling areas of the state continue to reel under darkness due to no electricity and the people all across crave for the basic amenities like water and good roads.
He added that there are key developmental projects that have gone into limbo and instead of expediting the work on these projects, the government is doing everything to throw them into the cold storage.
The Congress leader cited the example of Srinagar’s Ram Bagh flyover which is awaiting completion since years and has missed several deadlines. He also expressed concern over the stopping of work on Z Morh tunnel and how the four lanning of national highway has added to the miseries of passengers instead of easing their travel on the treacherous Jammu- Srinagar highway.
He added that was Congress alone that has ushered new era of development in Jammu and Kashmir whenever the party came to power in the state and that still the projects launched by Congress have become symbols of development all across. He urged people to strengthen Congress support its pro-people policies and make it victorious so that the state once again is made to tread the path of prosperity and growth.
