Puroo Kokernag Residents Staged Protest against R&B Department

SRINAGAR, MAR 07 (PTK): The residents of Puroo village in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday staged a protest  near Zalangam And blocked Vailoo Kokernag Road against the lack of road network and Bridge Connectivity in The area.

The protesters took to the streets and raised slogans against the government, Roads & Buildings (R&B) department.

Residents Allege that the bridge Connectivity Between Guhihard to Puroo is  yet in completed which  irks residents also the link road which has not been macadamized during past 12 years, is dotted with countless potholes.

Alleging that the district administration was adopting a negligent approach towards the area, the locals said that they are facing immense hard-ships.“ Due to bad condition of road the commuters are facing immense problems”, locals alleged.

A Local Resident Aijaz Ahmed Bimla Said that authorities didnt pay any attention towards our genuine demand’ He said if their demands were not fulfilled soon, they would be forced to intensify their agitation.

The inhabitants said that due to pathetic condition of the road- students, employees and patients face immense hardships to reach their respective destinations.

Locals appealed Dc Anantnag and Concerned Department to look into the matter and resolve it as soon as possible. (PTK)
